A little place to begin

Teaching them while I’m learning, too.

I started Little Bits of Jesus because I wanted to teach my children about Jesus. I was new to the faith, and I couldn’t find the kind of curriculum I was looking for for less than $300.

I wanted a simpler place to start at home with my babies. So I began making Little Bits of Jesus, one month at a time. This October guide is free when you sign up by email, and I hope it gives you a place to begin, too.

You can sing, read a little Scripture, make something together, and notice God’s goodness in the ordinary parts of your day.

October at a glance

Four weeks. Little moments with Jesus.

01

God Made Everything Good

Read about Creation in Genesis 1, collect fallen leaves, and make a creation collage.

Memory verse: Genesis 1:31, KJV excerpt

02

Jesus Is My Shepherd

Meet the Good Shepherd in John 10:1–16, play Follow the Shepherd, and make a cotton ball sheep.

Memory verse: John 10:11, KJV excerpt

03

Jesus Is the Light

Read Mark 4:35–41 and John 8:12, explore light and shadows, and make a paper lantern.

Memory verse: John 8:12, KJV excerpt

04

A Thankful Heart

Read Luke 17:11–19, take a thank-you walk, and fill a thankful pumpkin with your child’s own answers.

Memory verse: Psalm 107:1, KJV excerpt

What’s inside the printable?

  • Four weekly Bible lessons with opening and closing prayers.
  • KJV memory-verse excerpts and separately labeled little-learner paraphrases.
  • Song suggestions, movement, crafts, sensory play, and nature activities.
  • Snack conversations, little acts of service, and encouragement for Mom.
  • A supplies basket list, daily rhythm, and month-at-a-glance page.
  • A paper lantern example and printable sheep and thankful pumpkin craft templates.

A rhythm that fits little attention spans.

The guide suggests 10–20 minutes, 3–5 days a week. Repeat the same story and verse through the week and choose an activity that fits your day. You don’t need to complete every idea.

On a hard morning: song, Bible truth, verse, hug, done.

That gentle reminder is part of the guide. Start small, and come back when you can.

Before you begin

The cover identifies this as a toddler guide. Families with preschool or kindergarten children can adapt the conversations and activities to their children’s abilities. It is a Bible circle time resource, rather than a complete academic curriculum.

Print on US Letter paper. Use “Fit” if decorative edges are clipped; the thankful pumpkin template specifies Actual Size / 100%. A grown-up should handle cutting, supervise small craft pieces, and choose suitable food sizes and textures. Use only a battery-powered light in the lantern.

Read the full memory verses in your Bible. The short little-learner phrases are paraphrases, not KJV quotations.

Ready when you are

Growing a month at a time

I’m adding Little Bits as I make them. Over time, a month may have more than one theme or learning level to choose from. This October edition can stay here for families who want to use it again.
